Parade 11

Click on any picture to obtain a larger view. This was Chino High School‘s first appearance. This is the High School that established Chinos pants as a fashion item. I could not identify any of the things the program said were on the float “A Day in the Park“.
After the parade and while writing this account I realized the Alhambra float “Picnic“ was actually an omen to a great outdoor feast. More later. The absolute best part of the parade was watching the two young girls scoop up horse poop. Caro and I kept each other laughing by quoting the gag line “But at least we are in show business“.
The Lutheran float got a big response from Caro. Every High School in Los Angeles contributes band members to the Honor Band.
These last 5 pictures are about the most interesting and active float. It won the Theme Trophy. A guy dressed as a bird jumped out of the top section using a bungee cord. There were several people in birdhouses and the kids on the float were dressed as butterflies and bugs. I think this float has the greatest variety of flowers.
