Real Deal

After the ceremony and to prolong the misery every wedding gathers the guests in a crowded area while photographers take dozens of pictures that are usually put in an album and only rarely seen in later years.

They do make a good looking couple.

This is “My Girl” that Shaun took away. Like all Dad’s I was glad to see her grow-up but wasn’t ready for it to be so quick. The ritual over the years has sure developed an ability to make the bride look beautiful and so innocent.

Little did I know when Misty said “Dad there is a boy at school that has asked me for a date” that Shaun and I would become in-laws. Shaun is a good earnest man who seems devoted to Misty. I wish him well but have told him several times that the attempt to understand a woman is ultimately doomed.

He doesn‘t look nervous in the picture but his hands were shaking every time I saw him this day.

Tim, Misty, Shaun, and Diane.

Me, Misty, Shaun, and Carolyn.

Granddaughters, Kellie and Brooke, were flower girls. I can tell that they are going to be in that role many, many times in future. They clean up well from the rambunctious little girls they normally are.

Oldest Grandson, Jared, was ring bearer and I am sure that he will be pulling this duty many times in future.

He really seems to relish the attention he gets when walking down the aisle.

This is an edge enhanced treatment of the photograph of our side of the wedding party. I cannot find the equivalent picture of Shaun’s side.
