I do not understand the feminine ritual of wedding showers. They seem as earthy as the batchelor party but different. They seem almost as a fertility ritual. Of course, every woman I know who has been to one tells me I am wrong. But still and all, why the emphasis on sexy clothing and other toys?
We Americans tend to make our friends with our fellow workers. Unlike the rest of the world we world all the time. We even think about our jobs during leisure hours.
