Canadian Oatmeal Shortbread 1 c. Marg, 1/2 c. Brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. flour 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda 2 c. rolled oats. Mix Oleo, sugar, and vanillla, till fluffy, Measure flour by dipping ( 1 tbl. at a time) Blend flour, soda, and oats stir into oleo mix, chill well (1 to 2 hrs) Heat oven to 350, Roll dough 1/4 " thick, on floured board. Cut in 1 1/2" squares or shapes, Bake 10-12 min. Makes 3-4 doz. |
