A Couple of Apple Recipes

Apple Crisp Recipe

2 medium sized apples
1 heaping tablespoon flour
1 heaping tbsp. brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
a pinch of salt
2 to 4 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon butter or margarine, cut into tiny pieces Take the apples, peel them, and remove the core. Now, slice the apples. You can then place the slices right on the toaster oven tray. Blend the next four ingredients (flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt) and sprinkle over the slices. Take the water and dab it all over the apples. If you are using drier than normal apples, use a bit more water. Take the butter and add a piece here and there, spacing it out to cover all of it pretty uniformly. Place inside your toaster oven and bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until done.

Apple Treat Recipe

1 can of canned biscuits
1 can of apple pie filling
Cinnamon sugar mixture
A Rolling pin
A Toaster oven
A Spatula
Paper plates or serving tray
Powdered sugar
Napkins

If you are making this dessert with your kids, open the biscuits for them. Next, let your child take one biscuit at a time and flatten it. Next, they should take one tablespoon full of the apple filling and drop on the middle of the biscuit. Now, shake the cinnamon and sugar mixture over the apple filling. Wet your finger and rub water around the edge of dough. Fold up and seal. Water helps keep the dough seal properly. Put the folded apple treats into the toaster oven with the temperature setting at 350º Fahrenheit, and bake until golden brown. When they are done put them on paper plates or on a serving tray. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar. Let the treats cool off a bit, then enjoy, but be careful, filling may still be hot.
