WATERMELON PIE

Watermelon is part of the pumpkin, squash and gourd family. They originated in Africa - then spread to Egypt, India and China. When the French colonized America, they found Indians growing them in the Mississippi Valley. How they got the seeds is a mystery! The good news... only 40 calories per cup and lots of vitamin C!

INGREDIENTS
9-inch crumb pie shell
1 container (12 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed
1 box (3 ounces)watermelon-flavored jello
1/4 cup water
2 cups watermelon balls

DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, fold the Cool Whip, jello and water together.
2. Fold in the watermelon balls, then spoon it into the pie shell.
3. Chill for 2 hours before serving. Makes a very sweet pie!
