UNSTUFFED PEPPER SOUP

1 1/2 GROUND BEEF
3 LARGE GREEN PEPPERS CHOPPED
1 LARGE ONION CHOPPED
2--14OZ CANS BEEF BROTH
2--10 3/4 TOMATO SOUP UNDILUTED
1--28OZ CAN CRUSHED TOMATOES
1--4OZ CAN MUSHROOM PIECES DRAIN
1 1/2 COOKED RICE

IN A DUTCH OVEN OR LARGE SAUCE PAN COOK BEEF, PEPPER AND ONION OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL MEAT IS NO LONGER PINK; DRAIN.

STIR IN THE BROTH, SOUP, TOMATOES, AND MUSHROOMS. BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT AND COVER. SIMMER AT LEAST 30 MINUTES, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. ADD RICE AND HEAT THROUGH.
