Cream of Broccoli Soup

3 cups water
3 tsp. Redi-Base (either chicken or vegetable)
1-10 oz. pkg. chopped, frozen broccoli
1/4 cup onion, minced
1 bay leaf
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. flour
1 cup light cream
salt & pepper to taste
Saute onions in butter until soft.
Blend in flour.
Add water, Redi-Base, broccoli and bay leaf. Simmer until broccoli has thawed.
Bring to a boil.
Salt & pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and add light cream.
Serve
