BUTTERMILK PIE

1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter or oleo
3 Tbsp. flour (rounded)
1 c. buttermilk
dash of nutmeg

Have butter soft; add sugar, cream together well. Add flour and eggs, beat well. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmeg. Pour into pie shell, bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Place on rack to cool completely before serving.

Note: If you make you own pie crust, follow recipe as above. If you use frozen pie crusts; 1 deep dish 9-inch will use this recipe. If you use regular 9-inch pie crusts this recipe will make 2 pies or this recipe can be halved for one pie crust.
