Parade 9

The Stone Mountain band reminded me of another landmark I intend to see some day. Notice the girls with the moves. I pointed to them with a cyan arrow. I wonder if they maintained the moves all through the long parade?
Case had gotten a little confined at this time and was trying to get his mother to let him run around. You can just see the top of his head.
My Dad‘s family all went west in the 20s, 30s, and 40 so this float‘s slogan certainly caught my attention. While watching the western group go by I noticed that a couple of scrawny old women were fussing at Carolyn. They were bothered when she leaned forward to see.
The Mayor of Pasadena, as do all politicians, made sure he was seen by the voters. The Budweiser Clydesdales must be the most recognized animals in America. Case was very excited to see them and was amazed by how big they were.
Their float featured their animal theme parks instead of their beer. I like their beer better.
Surprisingly we had met some softball families from DeSoto at a softball tournament who were actively raising money for the band to go to the Parade. Every kid in DeSoto must have been in the parade. When we got back home I discovered that DeSoto is a suburb of Dallas and has 4 high schools.
